Ivan’s request for comments

Hello Antonis,

it seems we are entering a new climate era that could disrupt civilization as we know it. I have been reading some stuff on it lately and have crafted my own summary. I would appreciate your comments on it.

Hi. I like your climate essay. I like the format and the attempt to summarize the key points. Needless to say, I disagree with it. If you’d like me to explain why, this will take long, because I don’t have much time available, but I think it’s worth doing.

Starting from your “facts”, I think you will agree with me that your last “fact” (“Climate change will produce massive food shortage, wars…”) is not a fact, since it is a statement about the future.

Re your first fact (“In the last 2.000 years, humans have been radically changing the whole planet, including deforestation, overfishing and contamination of the air, soil and water”), I generally agree with it (although I disagree in the details), but it doesn’t seem to me that it has any relevance to the climate discussion.
